Ah I liked this post very much. I am sure U would also like it if u read it. Its such a funny one. I never knew that these kind of announcements are made in the flight.

“There may be 50 ways to leave your lover, but there are only 4 ways out of this airplane…”

Pilot - “Folks, we have reached our cruising altitude now, so I am going to switch the seat belt sign off. Feel free to move about as you wish, but please stay inside the plane till we land… it’s a bit cold outside, and if you walk on the wings it affects the flight pattern.”

And, after landing: “Thank you for flying Delta Business Express. We hope you enjoyed giving us the business as much as we enjoyed taking you for a ride.”

As the plane landed and was coming to a stop at Washington National, a lone voice comes over the loudspeaker: “Whoa, big fella. WHOA!”

Today morning at around 11am I was riding a bike. I was on a quite a busy road with bicycles, rickshaws, and other slow moving vehicles alongside other fast moving vehicles. I was riding at around 35-40km/hr.

Suddenly a Yamaha Enticer zoomed passed me while I was riding a Hero Honda Splendor! Will u like it if someone goes by you in that way? I did not like it at all. So I picked up my bike`s a bit. Then I saw stopping to talk to a taxi driver. But that not a usual stop and he braked quite hard and came to a sudden halt.

I again reduced my speed and went on in a normal speed.

In my last post only I mentioned about the weather condition here in Kolkata. The weather condition was very rough and tough as there was no rain in sight. Along with high temperatures had prevailed high humidity also.

But……..

Yesterday evening there came a harsh thunderstorm! And rain!

I was playing with few junior boys in our locality. Suddenly the surrounding was was turned into a very dusty atmosphere. The trees were finding it hard to stay in its places. We could hardly see anything. But I decided that we must continue with our game of cricket and should enjoy this atmosphere.

Though we were very dusty, the junior boys agreed to stay on! We finished our game fast fearing that, it might start raining anytime.

And as we finished our game and were planning to go home, it started raining heavily. We all got drenched in the cool rain water and headed for our home in a happy mood!!!

BTW the most important thing is that the prevailing temp was brought down within no time.

LOL!!

During this time of the year, my dad, with a manager of our business goes out to invite the customers for an annual get-together. Its mainly a goodwill gesture after round the of conducting business. They mainly go to different districts of kolkata where our market is generally situated.

I only go sometimes, when I feel-like going just for the sake of driving! Coz I really love driving.

But this year was a different year till now.

It was made compulsory for me to accompany them!

Coz the driver did not turn up. Though he had informed us about his not being present.

In our country its not quite safe to leave the car parked on the roadside and go to somewhere. the car might be damaged - intentionally or unintentionally, it can be stolen, music system inside the car can be stolen, etc. So I had to go.

Eden Gardens… one of the largest cricketing stadium in the world. One of the most beautiful too. It is often compared with MCG (Melbourne Cricket Ground) situated in Australia.

An Account Of A 1996 World Cup Semi-final Match:-

People in the cricketing world knows the name or the ground very well. For the wrong reasons though. In 1996 cricket world cup, which was held in Indian subcontinent, India and Sri Lanka had played a semi-final match here.

So whats the big deal here?

Only that the match had to be stopped due to public anger spilling over to the ground! Spectators threw bottles at the Sri Lankan players because India lost wickets in quick sessions.

Even Sri Lanka had lost wickets in that way. The problem was with the pitch. Here a world cup semi final match was being played in a such a unplayable wicket. It had no pace, no bounce. It was dusty and big cracks could be seen everywhere! The curator was Kalyan Mitra.
