Ah, this is a very serious news and a cause of concern too.

A security researcher from Russia has claimed that he has been able to crack the CAPTCHA(Completely Automated public turing test to tell Computers and Humans Apart) code.

This is the code which shows us the graphical letters and numbers when we try to enter or log-in our account. This is actually used so that automated bots or codes cannot enter or log-in in any account to spread spam or any illegal thing because only human beings understand graphics.

But if the research`s claim is true then the bots will easily be able to create and log-in in yahoo mail accounts and wreck havoc in a large scale. He has claimed that his code can have a accuracy rate of about 35%.

He has informed Yahoo, but is yet to receive any communication from them. In the mean time Yahoo said that it knows about the cracking trails thats being carried out on its CAPTCHA code and is trying to improve that.

Yahoo`s CAPTCHA code is believed to be the strongest of all the codes present on the web.

So lets keep our fingers crossed guys…

This is a scary news. Social networking site Myspace.com was hacked. It was done by hackers, by getting access of an account of a member there.

The hackers somehow got access to a member account there and used it to post a Microsoft Update relating to a malware removal tool, which was actually a malware in disguise.

When somebody clicked on the popup, which advertised to be malware removal tool from Microsoft, hoping to update their windows OS, a picture opened before them which covered most part of the screen. If anybody clicked anywhere on the picture, the malware started downloading itself in the background.

Luckily the attack was not wide spread and not many users were affected by the attack.

The Trojan, known as TFactory, is a well-known piece of code that has been used by criminals for well over a year, according to Dave Marcus, a security research manager with McAfee.

Ah, this is a nice bit of information that i came across. The innovation actually helps you burn calories instead of burning electricity to charge laptops!

A group of students have come up with a way to recharge your laptop without plugging it in. Rather than consuming electricity, you will be burning a lot calories of your body. The students built an exercise bicycle that uses the power of pedalling to charge a laptop computer. thus letting you to exercise while you are working!

Students Piotr Fidkowski, Sebastian Figari, Sara John, Kendra Johnson, Julia Kiberd, Tina Lai and Devon McCorkle of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) teamed up with Laxmi Rao of MIT`s Information Services and Technology. The project was to connect a laptop with an exercise bicycle.

A conventional 12-volt battery is used. It is charged through belts and gears present in the cycle, which actually transfers the motion of the wheel into the battery. A charge is also present, which regulates the electricity passing to the battery and thus prevents the battery from over-charging. Then the charge of the battery is supplied to the laptop, that is placed on a tray, in place of the handlebars.

The seat of the bicycle is adjustable according to one`s need and even the tray of the laptop is movable!

This is actually a smart way to use the unwanted calories present in our body and do something useful with it instead of just releasing it wastefully. This technology is going to be very useful when people go to some place where there is no availability of electricity.

Yes you read that right. You can get free processors from Intel. They started a competition through which you can gift yourself a new processor to yourself.

But only if you are a good mod!

If you have modded your hardware and made a cool thing out of it, then simply shoot a video of it and post it here. The video should be less than 1 min. Thats all!

If they like your idea or its really cool, then you can win a processor!

Best Of Luck Guys!
