-: Merry Christmas To All Of You :-
This is a very interesting story that i read just before sometime. Thought of sharing it with you all.
Its about a truce that took place on the Christmas eve during World War One.
The year was 1914. December 24. An unofficial truce was called upon. The forces were German and British troops. They were standing face to face and fighting but only for that day or for that matter that night only.
They decorated their trenches with flowers and trees and such items. Men from both the forces met at the `No man`s land`. They exchanged gifts, wine, chocolates, etc among themselves. They even played football against each other!
They took away their colleages` dead bodies, to their own sides for burial activities. In one of the burial activities men from both the sides sang a carol.
But the bosses did not like all these!
Though they couldnt do anything about this truce that year. They made it clear that no such thing will ever happen. And they did it. The troops were rotated at regular intervals. They were actually ordered to fire on this very day!

My Opinion…
Thus, just see how the men at the front are used in wars. They dont have any voice reaching at the top of the hierarchy. They do only what they are asked to do. They cant voice their concerns.
They exchanged gifts and played football with those men, with whom they were actually fighting for land dominance. And would be fighting from the next day. And they knew that they will die fighting against each other.
This is the unwritten rule of the battlefield and it will continue this way till humanity survives. Sorry for bringing such a story to notice, but i thought this is the best occasion to remember them who fought for their bosses and not for themselves or land.
