Today I heard a very interesting, horror, sad, pathetic story. It all started when a guy in our class told sir that an old man was lying down on a row of seats and was barking like a dog!

The boy was totally surprised on seeing this and he could not believe his ears when he heard the sound. He told us that after he started barking people gathered near him to see what was going on. But couldnt see his face as it was covered with a blanket. He was still. But was barking like a dog. Someone told that he had been bitten by a mad dog somewhere, sometime.

On hearing his our sir narrated a story to us. Let me narrate it to you all.

There was a young sales professional who stayed near sir`s house. He was a very gentle and a sober guy. He used to work in a private company. Once he had to go to outstation (Gawahati, capital of state of Assam, India) for his sales service. He was bitten by a dog there. But he didnt tell anybody at home about this incident. He was scared that he will have take 14 injections.

And that was the fatal decision!

After a few months, his behaviuor started to change. He would not talk to anyone. His voice started changing. gradually he started barking like dogs. He started salivating with the tongue haning from his mouth. His back bended a little. Meanwhile his treatment started but it was of no use. the incubation period has already passed.

He was taken away from home and was kept in a cell in hospital. The doctors used to wear full protective gear around their body. Like those goalkeepers of hockey or NFL players wear. The food was thrown at him from a distance in a plate.

And finally one day he passed away, like an animal!

A municipality car which was totally covered, was brought and the body was taken away. It was burnt in a garbage dumping area, with no human presence.

I learnt that there is even a special cell section in the hostipal where all these type of animal bitten patients are kept. And they are all treated the same way.

This bit of information really shocked me and only one thought came to my mind -

Is there any worse way to die than this?
