Well on last Tuesday I had an exam. The exam was for the license of 2-wheeler. What an experience i had on that day!
I had the learner`s license for around 4 months but couldnt get the time or oppurtunity to go for the test. The rule is that the learner`s license will be valid for 6 months and one can go on any day for the test.
The whole system is filled with fraudulent men and activities. One can hardly `pass` the `exam` if one does not have a middleman! They are the gods there. They dictate the activities there. People will infact laugh at you if you dont have a middleman!
Likewise even i had one!!! And he did everything for me.
Its a rule that before one gets a learner`s license one must give a medical test to prove his /her physical fitness… nothing was done. I needed to be present in the office for the learner`s license and I wasn`t present there and I got it at my home.
Even i didnt knew about the original fees of the whole thing as he just asked me rs.1000 for the overall work.
Now lets come to the test day…
I went with my dad to the test centre or to the motor-vehicles office. It was around 11 in the morning when we reached there. After waiting for sometime the middleman came in the picture.
He asked us to wait “until the school car comes”. The meaning of this sentence means that I was actually learning from a driving school… whereas I didnt even know the name of the school or where it was situated!
Anyway the car came and then we went to a different person who was sitting in a on a rock in a lane where many bikes were already present. There he jotted down my bike`s no. and asked us to pay rs. 30. Thats to make sure that I pass the `exam` without any problem. Let me tell you that its actually a unwritten norm of the system.
Anyway I joined other bikes in the lane for the test. Soon many bikes (approx 100-150) came and filled the lane. It was as if I had come to participate in some kind of bike rally! After waiting about 30 mins. the test started. And we kept moving to the `examiner`.
We actually kept moving the bikes with our legs and the engine was off. Just before reaching him I switched it on. When I came near him, he asked for the documents-which consisted of the learner`s license, payment receipts, the application form etc. As I was wearing a full helmet, he asked me to open it and show him my face. He also asked my name. And then he told me to go.
Exam over!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Then I went for photo-session. There was a webcam and a digitizer. I had to sign on the digitizer and stand in front of the webcame for my photo.
Thats all the whole process was over.
The middleman told me that he will come to my home to give me the `license`
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
What an exam.
